Napa Valley in a Party Bus

We had the most awesome time last weekend during our trip to Napa for Leah’s birthday.  There were about 18 of us and rather than taking multiple cars, we decided that the most efficient and fun way to travel to Napa was to do it by party bus!  It was totally worth the experience.  We found a great company called SF party bus, based out in San Francisco, and had them pick us up at 10am for an 8 hour day long wine-tasting trip to Napa and Sonoma Valley.

These buses are amazing.  They look just a limousines from the inside but bigger with room to walk.  I mean this bus was loaded.  We watched TV from their 42-inch flatscreen TV, played music through bluetooth connection which was hooked up to their sound system, and a nice little wet bar with complementary wine and drinks.  This was definitely a great way to utilize the one-and-half hour driver to Napa and back.

Our driver, Ronnie, was spectacular in getting us to about 5-6 wineries and a lunch spot in between.  We visited Domaine Chandon, Rovert Mondavi, Sterling Vineyards, Mumms, Castillo de Amarosa, and V.Sattui which has an amazing picnic spot for lunch!  A very gorgeous picture worthy winery stop for yummy deli foods, cheese and cracker spreads, and delicious wine.  We also stopped by Bouchon Bakery for some goodies and their famous macarons, which were all delicous–chocolate, pistachio, salted caramel, red velvet, earl grey… yes, are you drooling now?  LOL!

Ronnie was great in restocking our wine glasses in the bus in between stops.  We made sure to reward him with a nice tip for being such a fantastic driver.  By the end of the day we were slightly buzzed from the wine-tasting, which is why it was such a great idea to rent a party bus with a designated driver on board!  We were pooped by the end of the day from such a fun trip.  I cannot recommend SF Party Bus enough for making the booking process so easy and straightforward and the trip itself so fun and rewarding.  Not only did they have the cheapest rate, but their bus was as nice as I had hoped, their customer service was excellent, their staff and drivers superb.

Renting a bus definitely helped save on time and convenience and was a responsible decision on our part since everybody was drinking.  I will say that it is definitely worth the cost to rent than to risk a DUI having to stay overnight in a hotel.
